As co-chair of the Open Government Partnership (OGP), France hosted its fourth OGP Global Summit 2016 in Paris. The Partnership gathered 70 member countries and hundreds of civil society organizations that promote transparency, citizen participation and democratic innovation. Although Nepal is not a member yet the Chief Commissioner of the National Information Commission, Krishna Hari Baskota represented Nepal in the summit this year.

Kathmandu Living Labs organized a mapping event where OSM (Open Street Map) volunteers gathered to remotely map flood prone areas in Mexico as well as flood prone areas of Bardiya and Gulariya in western Nepal. They partnered with IIASA and Practical Action to supplement the remote mapping with field mapping and ground truthing.
