NGO Federation of Nepal is an umbrella organization for NGOs in Nepal, which emerged after the transition of Nepal into a democracy in 1991. The group fights for the autonomy of NGOs while working in various fields of social welfare and development, striving to unite, organize and mobilize civil society to create a peaceful, democratic and just Nepal. As part of this they have worked to strengthen the accountability and governance of NGOs in Nepal, to enable Nepal’s NGOs to contribute in the national development process effectively. NGO Federation host the Nepal SDG Forum and as part of this they have been promoting the importance of open data and evidence for monitoring international and national development goals.
