Development Initiatives is an independent international development organisation that focuses on the role of data in driving poverty eradication and sustainable development. Development Initiatives works to ensure that development decisions are underpinned by good quality, transparent data and evidence on poverty and the resources to address poverty, and lead to increased accountability and sustainable long-term outcomes. They have also been working in Nepal since 2011 to improve the availability, accessibility and use of data for development. Their focus has been on building the information ecosystem needed to enable data-informed decision-making by supporting local partners with funding, guidance and expertise on open data focused technical, research and engagement projects.
